It’s amazing what you find when trawling through the wonderful world wide web!

We used to play theatre shows with the tribute bands that we perform across the UK

Here’s a review from 2008 by Daniel Mole from a ‘Call Me Blondie’ show:

‘Call Me Blondie’
Saturday, 28th February 2008
Review by Daniel Mole

‘Call Me Blondie’ wowed the Banks’s Stadium crowd on Saturday with a stunning duel performance.

This brilliant live concert show kicked off, as you would imagine, with a stunning tribute to Blondie and their greatest hits.

From ‘Call Me’ to ‘Atomic’, ‘Heart Of Glass’ to ‘Rapture’; all the classics were covered in what was a high-intesity performance.

After the break, the group showed their diversity with a string of classics from the 1980’s, taking the audience on a whirlwind tour of this decade of decadence. Highlights of the second half of the show included Soft Cell’s ‘Tainted Love’, Kim Wilde’s ‘Kids In America’ and The Eurythmics’ ‘Sweet Dreams’.

All in all, it was a night to remember thanks to the high-octane performance of ‘Call Me Blondie’

Jersey Cream

July 5, 2010

The cream of the crop partied all night at Longueville Manor Hotel for the wedding of Chris Rogers and Kerry Warwick this weekend

The marquee and setting were so beautiful, as were the wedding guests who made us feel very welcome

Thanks to all the Delta crew (especially Rachael Godfrey). Plus all the friends and family who came and personally thanked us for our performance

The crowd danced all night long and stayed after our set to party with the amazing DJ Sam, who came out to play with us from Ibiza.

A few of the guests had seen us a few weeks before at Cowdray Park Polo Club for their centenary party. It’s a small world!

We’re back!

Watch out this week as we fill you in on the past few months activities…

For the 2nd year running we performed on the opening night of Goodwood’s Festival of Speed at Goodwood House for the GRRC members on 1st July 2010.

The Festival of Speed is the largest motoring garden party in the world – a unique summer weekend that brings together an impossibly heady mix of cars, stars and motor sport ‘royalty’ to create the largest car culture event in the world.

Held in the immaculate grounds of Goodwood House, this annual hill-climb event is a true celebration of motor sport and all things automotive.

It was another amazing Summers day here in the UK and we got passes to the event so that we could spend some time exploring before our sound check

Later that evening we had a blast performing inside the beautiful house, straight after the amazing firework display

Thanks to everyone for looking after us especially Theresa Giffard from Starlight!

Matthew also gave away his skull vest to jimmie Vaughan’s skull lovin’ bass player!

Here’s what he had to say about us:

“I’ll be recommending you to everyone I can. Not often that I wish I could stick around for the whole of the band’s performance, and you guys are easily the best band I’ve seen performing at a wedding.”

Back To The Future ’85

May 11, 2010

In 1985 a 25 year old British Athlete named Steve Cram did something that no athlete had ever achieved, broke 3 World Records at 3 different distances, all within 19 amazing days. The first record fell in a memorable race in Nice on July 16th, when Cram beat Said Aouita by 4 hundredths of a second. Eleven days later at the infamous Bislett Games in Oslo Cram defeated Seb Coe smashing his Mile world record in the process. Finally on August 4th 1985 in Budapest, Steve Cram took the 2000m world record away from the legendary New Zealander, John Walker.

The evening will celebrate this and other sporting successes of 1985, including the greatest ever World Championship snooker final between Dennis Taylor and Steve Davis and David Gower’s England team retaining the Ashes in a 3-1 victory over Australia.
