A Flying Start.
January 20, 2012
2012 is off with a bang. We’ve had a great start to the year. Last week saw us playing alongside former M People vocalist Heather Small in the ballroom of the Grosvenor House Hotel. The following night found us onstage before Go West at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. We got a chance to chat to Peter Cox from Go West about gigging, writing and life in general. He’s a real gent. The following night we entertained in the guise of SO80s, one of our specialised tribute sets, at the 25th Anniversary awards for Office Depot.
This week we are playing at a conference for Best Western Hotels at The Lancaster Gate Hotel in London, and then flying from London the following morning to play in Edinburgh for an Exhibition called Our Dynamic Earth, which looks very cool. The following morning we fly back to London and make our way up to the Birmingham Hilton Metropole Hotel for the last gig of the week.
In between all this we’re putting the finishing touches to some new live recordings and video, which you’ll get to see and hear very soon, and preparing for CONFEX 2012 at Excel, London. This year at CONFEX as well as exhibiting as MADHEN (stand P330 if you’re coming along) MADHEN Productions we’ll be providing and managing the staging, lighting and PA for the central feature at CONFEX 2012, so it’s all go in the MADHEN camp.

Busy busy hen’s this week. We’ve updated our website with new pics and bits!
Have been having some great gigs, from gorgeous weddings to big corporate parties. Lots of activity in the office this week too, with many new enquiries and confirmations. We have 3 gigs this week alone and September is looking really busy with every Friday spent in Aberdeen!
Also working on new tracks and our Christmas setlist too. This is as good a time as any to thank all those who contribute to the success of MADHEN. There’s a lot of great creative people we work with and companies who book us time and time again. We are truly appreciative and look forward to a continued year of success
Much love from all the MADHEN’s
From Russia with love
June 2, 2011
MADHEN made our debut performance in Russia this week! We flew out to St Petersburg for a corporate party for ‘Landmark’. The venue was beautiful and it was great to perform in Russia for the first time. We’d been pencilled to play there on a few previous occasions.
We flew out from London Heathrow at 6am to Zurich. Then we transferred to another Swiss Air flight to St Petersburgh.
Thanks to everyone involved in all the planning and the smooth sailing of the gig. Here’s to the next time!

Joseph Foote Fundraiser
March 10, 2011
It was an absolute honour to be asked back for the 2nd time to perform at the Joseph Foote Fundraising Ball in Birmingham on Saturday 5th March
The event, which raises money for research into brain tumours, was held at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole Hotel and attracted more than 800 guests.
Evening highlights included performances by Britain’s Got Talent star Connie Talbot
Take That Tribute Band ‘The Greatest’
X-Factor songstress Treyc Cohen
Plus of course MADHEN!
The charity was founded in 2001 by local entrepreneur Andy Foote whose son, Joseph, was diagnosed with a rare ependymoma malignant brain tumour, aged just 2. Despite multiple surgeries & treatments the cancer claimed Joseph’s life in 2007, following an inspirational seven year battle.
The memory of Joseph continues to be the driving force behind the Charity Ball, which helps to fund potentially life-changing research. This year’s event alone managed to raise over £150,000.
Andy Foote said:
” I am always so amazed and inspired by the level of support we receive year on year and it gives me great comfort to know that Joseph is still in everyone’s hearts and minds.”
